STAGE FIVE: Finalised Quotation & Production Plan

STAGE FOUR: The Pitch | 9th February

Prior to the pitch we had emailed Luis from Nana Mexico and arranged to have a meeting to discuss our three designs. We met up with him on Tuesday and showed him our van poster and final postcard designs on A3 paper.

In the meeting Luis gave us feedback on each design and told us what we could do to improve them for his franchise.

Luis told us that he liked each of the designs and gave us some specific information about the poster design he was after. He wanted a poster with something on it that would sup up his company in a image or logo. For example, everybody knows the brand of McDonalds because of the golden arches. This gave us something to think about for our final designs, as we wanted to include a memorable element to our designs.

Luis gave us feedback on each of the designs and then decided for us to continue with the Perforated Postcard design.

The Pitch Meeting
Below is our design that we presented to Luis from Nana Mexico and he gave us feedback on the design for us to improve on before the final deadline proofs.

Feedback:

Mix up the colour schemes for the backgrounds.
Move the logo to another position.
Different choice of fonts.
Different stock images.

After feedback was given:

We have worked on some different designs and have acted on Luis' feedback that he had given us.

Below is the design that is as close to the final design as possible. The fonts will be changed when we receive the correct fonts from Luis at Nana Mexico.

STAGE FOUR: A1 Display

At the end of the design and deliberation period our designs were finalised and laid out on an A1 sheet in chronological order by when they were designed and for which type of display, we decided to lay the poster out the way we did because it displayed our work in the best light it can be displayed it. We felt it gave the viewer an impression of the progression from original design to the final that we used.

STAGE ONE: Initial Ideas | Sketches

Before developing our ideas through Photoshop we decided to design some initial sketches, this was vital for us to be able to pre asses and make important decisions before we took the ideas further.

STAGE FOUR: Meeting Two | Feb 7th 11:45am

During the interview we had presented our three ideas to Luis and he had decided to go ahead with the idea of a perforated postcard, Luis liked the idea of the pop out element and we discussed how his customers would like the idea of popping the post card and sharing the images on social media.

2nd Meeting with Luis

Luis said some good things about our ideas but they could be improved slightly. The following were points that Luis wanted us to Discuss;
  • Different logo positioning
  • Decide on a final # to use.
  • Try different colour background
  • Decide on a image or logo that sums up Nana Mexico.
  • Make sure there is a consistent 1cm guide all the way around the design.
  • When were had the meeting with Nana Mexico we wrote down some improvements that could be made to the designs.
